When we read in the news about a significant gift made to a hospital or
college, it is often from a major foundation or large corporation. Sometimes it
is from a single very wealthy donor. Those gifts are prominent in the headlines
but the fact is that most philanthropy comes in much smaller sums made by
thousands of people.
Through the generosity of these numerous donors, Wuesthoff Foundation is able
to generate resources for a wide range of programs throughout the year. Many
supporters choose to make annual gifts to specific areas – such as Hospice,
Heart Care or Women's Health – that have deep, personal significance. Others
prefer to make unrestricted annual gifts; such contributions allow Wuesthoff
leadership to react quickly to both challenges and opportunities.
Building relationships with donors begins with the Annual Fund, which provides
sustaining dollars to Wuesthoff and attracts thousands of donors who make gifts
that range from $25 to sums much higher. The Foundation acknowledges these
gifts with gratitude and works hard to keep these donors engaged over the
years. It is through these developing relationships that greater levels of
involvement and support are possible.
Wuesthoff donors receive Catch
the Wave, the Foundation's newsletter, and various letters that offer
you a chance to support programs you care about. More importantly you have a
voice in Wuesthoff's direction, something that can empower you to take an
active role in your own health care resources.
In addition to letters and publications, the Foundation hosts two major events
each year. The annual Wuesthoff Gala and the Wuesthoff Hospital-Dave Nisbet
Golf Tournament generate additional financial support for worthwhile causes.

Each and every donor is special to us and an important part of our work is to
keep in touch with donors letting them know that they are valued members of our
Foundation family. If you would like to learn more about annual giving
